“I went to my Y12SR when I was in treatment 6 months ago, and now that I’m out, the Y12SR leader suggested a donation-based yoga studio where I can continue my practice. Yoga has been an important part of my recovery.”
“Thank you for teaching me how to take care of myself with restorative postures. I like coming to Y12SR.”
“This is my favorite 12-step meeting, and I love the yoga part.”
“I thought yoga would be wimpy. It’s hard! But I’ve learned so much – especially coming to my breath, and letting go in certain situations. It’s part of my toolbox now.”
This training was not only empowering, it truly shifted my thinking about the way we utilize asana and the manner in which we teach yoga. There is so much informative, insightful and powerful information. I would recommend this training for all yoga teachers, everywhere.
I had a truly amazing weekend with Nikki at the teacher training. She is so open and welcoming, I felt like I was right where I should be the entire weekend. Her knowledge of yoga and how it affects the mind body and spirit is extraordinary, and right on point. Her stories help to make the information she is sharing relatable. I can’t wait to start sharing it with my community!
Thank you so much, Nikki, for sharing your wisdom with me. You have inspired me to go deeper within my own personal recovery, and to speak out against the stigma around addiction in my community. I am so looking forward to creating this safe space within a new Y12SR community.
This past weekend was life changing. ‘Meet people where they’re at’…‘grateful addicts don’t use’…I just incorporated those into the AA meeting I led this morning. I simply can’t say enough about how powerfully profound this workshop is.
