Often used as a greeting, one translation of the Sanskrit word namaste’ is “the good, God, divine light in me honors the same in you.” But, what if Namaste’ is more than a greeting. What if Namaste’ is a way of life, a way of being. What if Namaste is a verb? And, if it is a verb, how can it possibly become actionable in the face of domestic violence, addiction, racism, sexual abuse, sexism, death. Is it possible to find namaste even in those Muthaf$#ka’s? How do you find the good/God/divine light when all that is visible is pitch black?
